The Palo Alto-Mountain View Chapter takes pride in its long history. An organization cannot last as long as our chapter has without the hard work and recognition of its members. The Peninsulaires Chorus and Palo Alto-Mountain View Chapter is fortunate to have so many honored members that each list needs its own page.
Recognizes contributions above and beyond for a sustained period over the years. For example, the recipient has held multiple elective or musical positions, created and ran projects that generated revenue and musical success over the years, or a quartet that contributed to the chapter in major ways.
The last Peninsulaires Hall of Fame inductee was Dave Kocharhook "The Anchor" in 2013.
Barbershopper of the Year is a special recognition awarded to a Peninsulaires Chorus member for going above and beyond to help elevate the chorus and chapter. He is chosen by a committee of past Barbershoppers of the Year. There is a perpetual trophy for this award.
The 2015 Peninsulaires Barbershopper of the Year was Sean Abel.
Chorus members with less than 18 months experience are eligible for the Rookie of the Year award. He is selected by the chapter Board of Directors for exemplary service. There is a perpetual trophy for this award.
The last Rookie of the Year was Jerry Wong, inducted in 2013.
The Board of Directors may select one or more individuals each year for special recognition for contributions to the chapter or chorus administratively or musically during the year.
The 2015 recipient of the Board Award was Jerry Wong.
The President's Award is chosen and awarded annually at the option of the sitting President. It recognizes contributions above and beyond of an individual who most helped him during the year.
In 2015, the recipients were Connie Turner and Bert Laurence.
